Hello..I am back again… My birthday falls on 4th May and during that time..everyone is busy with their final revision before the real examination... So my housemate and room mate and some tangga mate held a surprise birthday party for me 2 weeks before my birthday…So it is actually an advance birthday party… well…Didn’t expect them to celebrate for me this early so i did get a bit surprise…Ok..here’s some picture during my birthday party…

The events that past without mention

 

Hello..I am back again…This is the last time i will be posting all those outdated articles here…I promise..Since i am actually quite bored typing all those old news…So i will just brief you through what happen these few months which my previous post didn’t mention at all…

well…Just start with the event after the water disruption…There’s another water disruption in the middle of the period between the last one and now..But i am not quite sure when since I dun remember carrying any water pails after that..hehe..

Then…I think i should start from the early March since that is the last time I stop…Well..On 10 March..We have a surprise party for both my class lecturer and my classmate Mei Yee at water front…this is the first time my class have participate in the class party…We have never have a class party before…this is the first time and i think probably the last time since my class is not very active and everyone is minding their own business..Most of the birthday celebration is done by our own..I think my class is the only class that do so..And i have no idea why is it…But it is quite sad…i miss my ex-class..Everyone is so nice and fun… and this party is joined with All 11…so the student of All 11 is the one that organise it although it is for our class lecturer..Sad, right ?

There’s a Feskott 2009 at the end of march just right before our Pre AS examination…What does Fekskott mean ? well…It is Festival Sukan Kolej Teknologi Timur..Which means the sports day…We have lots of activities during feskott..Unfortunately I am not a very sporting person… So i skipped it…What happen during the closing ceremony…i have no idea at all..But all i heard is that they have a lot of running activities like larian mesra and so on… And then there’s the senam robik and also the prize giving ceremony…

Next come the arrival of seniors…There are back to ktt in order to learn the 3 language before they depart to India…Well..there’s hindi, cannada and tamil… Since JPA officer is here to check on the seniors… They decide to meet us before our Pre AS in order to support us and give some lectures on the consequence if we dun pass the cut off point during the real examination…

Then, Mesra KTT and Hari Kerjaya was here after the meeting with JPA officer…Mesra KTT include the Makeup session, cooking competition and treasure hunts…Hari Kerjaya include the exhibition of courses from all the colleges… All of these events happened just right before the Pre AS examination… So not much people participate in these events…

But surprisingly, the day after the Hari Kerjaya is the Earth Hour of 2009…Which falls on the 28th March on Saturday…Almost everyone in the Ktt participate in the Earth Hour… Most of us actually meet downstairs in the cafeteria or the small garden table downstairs… Hehe…This is the first time everyone participate in this meaningful event even though we have exam coming soon…

Then comes the trial…everyone is spending most of their time in the apartment or library or even cr and lh to study… And i get a week of break in between the trail due to the exam schedule… After the exam….results is out and the students start to work hard for the coming real exam that will be held in another month…

We have the workshops for the 4 main subjects a week before the AS examination… Then comes the first AS paper which is Pure Maths 1 on 13 of May…And the papers are coming one by one… Just like the previous trial… i have a week break in the middle of the exam…And i ended up playing in the house and not studying much.. This is very bad indeed…But at the end i decide to back to my hostel early so that i can study properly without the attraction of internet in the house…haha..

We are actually quite stress throughout the month but we manage to do all of it till our holiday finally starts…And here i am.. Having holiday and going back to school yesterday and will be having a gathering in Mid Valley this coming Saturday..Can’t wait to be there to meet everyone I miss… See you guys there…

Hmm..I think that’s almost all of the things i didn’t mention before…

Water..gone….

Hello…I am back again..This time I am going to tell you more on the subject where the water supply in KTT is being cut out for 3 days now…I am writing here immediately after the last post is being composed…So now I am going to tell you about it…

Hold on…yeah…there’s water supply now…Haha…I will have to enjoy playing water for a while after the water supply is a bit bigger and able to be use…

Haha…Finally the water supply is back…I like water very much…There’s so many thing you can’t do without any water such as take a nice shower, washing clothes, wash one hair especially for those who had long hair…Wow…I gonna enjoy it later after all I have some time as my class is cancelled…

Hmm... Back to the topic…The water supply is being cut off in the morning of the next day of CNY function… We realize that there is a trend whenever there’s a disruption of water supply…The trend is that there is always disruption of water whenever there is a big event going on..The last time of the water supply disruption is a day after the Hari Raya function…I hate that since we got so excited after the big event but we have to be worrying about the water the next day…Never like the shortage of water as there’s lots of problem if there’s no water…

At first I thought the water supply shortage is only for awhile since we are quite familiar with the situation where there’s water in the morning but the water will be gone in the afternoon but it will always be back by evening but unfortunately it wasn’t that case this time…In the Saturday, 14^th Feb…The water was cut off that day and we are facing problem with the lack of water as none of us dare to have any food in the café downstairs as we dun really know where does the cooking water come from…And we are trying our best to save up the water by using only half a pail of water to bath…That how we survive the first day…

On the second day which is 15^th Feb, Sunday…Water is not back yet…Hmm…Talking about water not back yet…The water supply is disrupted again…right after I wash all my clothes and flush the toilet…There’s no single water coming in now…I hate it…I have no water reserve to bath tonight…have to go down and carry water from the static water tank later when I wanna bath later…Hmm…but according to my roommate that the water supply is having the same behavior like this too…She said the water supply will be provided here in my apartment first before it goes further up the stairs and then both the part will have water later…Hopefully it is just like what she said…I wanna wash my hair tonight…

Well…Back to the point… I had wonder too far… On the second day which is Sunday…My housemate, L had came up from downstairs as she prepare to go to church that very morning as usual and told us about the news of getting water from downstairs’ student lounge’s toilet as the driver of KTT, Pak Long had try to connect a long pipe from the toilet at the back to the front of student lounge… We are having luck as there’s not much people during that time so almost all of our pails is filled with water before the water from the tank is finished…And did I tell you that I had woke up the moment the news is spread and then I rushed down to get the water before I even open my eye fully and brush my teeth…Not even wash my face…Haha…You can imagine how I look in that situation…Hehe..Blur cases as usual…And I didn’t even have my breakfast…I always wonder how come I got so much of energy to carry 3 pails of water and a rice cooker full of water without having anything…

Our pail is full of water but the basin and some bottle beside the rice cooker is not being filled as there are few more people that are taking water like this too…Thus, we have to walk all the way up to staircase 3 (My apartment is in staircase 8 ) to get the water which is consumable from the water machine since the other water machine s near my apartment is out of water…By the time I reached my apartment, I am fully awake and sweating all over and most important of all I felt the great pain of my arms after carry the water from such a distant…My hand is still aching this morning even now…Hmm..Can’t even open my laptop lid just now…Damn pain…Wish I had something to apply on it to ease the pain…Will try to remember to bring it later…

The announcement from the admin told us that the water supply will resume on that day’s 4pm but when it is almost 4pm, they told us we will have water supply at 8pm…When it is after 8pm, the lecturers told us that we will have to bring our pails down to get the water as the water tankers are here and we have to wait till 12am before the water supply is back…When it is 12am…the water supply is not back yet so Emma had to call the hotline of the Syabas (the water supplier of Selangor state) to enquire about the details of the reason why didn’t the water supply resume like normal…I think by that time I already asleep while holding my key with my earphone with me…

Since I was asleep so I ended up calling them again on Monday morning when I realize there’s still water in the morning…As what I got from the receptionist…The disruption of water is caused by the technical problem with the valve…And all the water supply is back to normal by midnight…I felt weird about that and in the morning, there’s another 2 tankers in KTT to distribute the water while we are asking the admin why we are not having any water supply when the rest of the Sepang area are having water… It seems that the other areas are having water supply except a 3 region which is Taman Kenanga where my college is located, Taman Mawar and another place but I dun remember what place it that…It should be somewhere nearby… So that means I have to carry another 2 pails of water for reserved and another basin for my housemate with L… I am surprise that my muscle is not pain during that time too…Haha…Funny…Maybe there’s too much adrenaline while I carry it in the situation where I am quite nervous and worry…But My hand ache all over now and it is even worse that before…I bet my arms will be in great pain today…

Got a message from my friend in other country…Glad to chat with him after so long of absence from the surfing net activity…Hehe…And yeah after all these… The water supply is back again…I hope it actually fill the whole tank of our apartment first…Wanna bath nicely…Ok…I think that’s all I gonna tell you…

Blood Donation Campaign

Finally I am back posting again..and with pictures…I am actually quite happy about it..After installing the windows live writer for a few months now..I finally get to post the picture…it seems that something is wrong with the album file..so it is fixed now..I am back to post again..

This is a post which i wrote a few months ago…here it starts..

Hello…I am here again…I am writing this article due to the cancellation of the class…Why is my class cancelled? This is all because of the disruption of water supply… It had been the third day without water supply…Well…I will tell you more about it later in this post…let’s move on with our story…

After the CNY event…I bet I had nothing more to say just want to tell you something about the blood donation event organize by Diploma students on 11^th Feb and about the disruption of water supply…

This is the first time I had ever donate my blood…Hmm…So it is considered to be a new experience to me but perhaps it will seems dull to you if you had done the blood donation process before…But for those who had not done it before I hope this gave you an overview about the blood donating process…

My housemate went quite early that day to donate her blood…It is after her influence that I started to have the motive to do so too…Thus I followed her footsteps and decide to go to the Du, main hall after my afternoon class is done while I have an hour of break in the middle before the next class…Although there are so many poster pasted around the college for a few days, the student either is not interested in it or scare to go alone in the blood donating campaign so there’s a few announcement being made throughout the morning to urge the student to support this campaign beside asking the student who stay in the apartment facing the front not to dry their clothes in the balcony…( that what they always ask us to do whenever there are outsider here so that it will not leave a bad impression to the visitors…And to tell you the truth, I hate that when they do so as we can’t dry our clothes for the day even the sun is shining brightly on that particular day…)

At 2pm after my chemistry class, I went to the main hall with MY to participate in the campaign… Although MY is not allow to donate the blood as her grandma doesn’t allow her to do so but she accompany me to the main hall in order to observe what is happening in the hall…First each of us are given a form with lots of column to tick and there’s a column which require us to fill in our biodata… After a signature and the weighing process, we are ask to wait for the arrival of the officer in charge as they went to take their lunch earlier…When they are back, we are back to the line in order to be tested… First, our middle fingertips of the left hand will be pierce by small needle-like equipment…Then, our blood is drawn to the level mark in the equipment and the officer will divide that amount of blood in to 2 portion for testing the blood group…Each of the portion is being mixed with a blue and yellow solution to show the blood group…I have no idea about the others but for blood group O…Both the solution will turn to red in colour…Anyone mind to tell me what colour is obtained for A,B and AB? Then, another portion of blood is being drawn into the tube and dropped into a blue solution to detect whether is there enough copper sulphate in our blood…If you didn’t pass the basic requirements like more than 45 kg, not having period, sleep more than 5 hours, not pregnant, have enough copper sulphate and so on…You are not allow to proceed to the next stage…most of them fail here because of the copper sulphate in the blood, having flu, asthma, sick, took antibiotics, not heavy enough and so on…

MY and I had pass the first stage so we proceed to the second stage where the blood pressure is taken with some interview about the necessary information such as do you understand the part which started HIV patient, Malaria patient are not allow to donate their blood…After the nurse make sure you are fit for the blood donating activity, we can proceed to the next round…Unfortunately I got stuck in this stage as the nurse urge me to take my lunch before I proceed so MY and I had to come out from DU and had our lunch…MY are forbidden to donate her blood as she just confirm it by calling back to her house so both of us have to get out from DU…

After this I proceed alone without MY…After my lunch, I am qualified to go to the next round…Here, I am require to register myself as a blood donor by showing the form to the officer in charge and wait patiently while she is typing all my info into the computer…After that, I am given a transparent plastics bag which contains the form and a small red book that turns out to be the certificate of blood donating activity…

Finally, I reached the last stage where we have to queue up in order to wait for an empty bed for donating blood…I have waited for awhile before it is my turn to donate blood…I realize I can donate 3 bags of blood that day if I wanted to but all of us is only allow to donate 1 bag of blood and according to the condition of our health…We are seated on the chair while the nurse goes around all of us with the tube and bags and other injection…After being seated for a while, a nurse had came to me and had tighten the band around my arm… Then, she started to look for the vein in my right hand and clean it with the antiseptic before she injected some liquid into the place around the blood where the blood is being drawn out…Next comes the tube which my blood is drawn…It is being inserted into the vein... The moment it is being insert, the blood comes flowing out into the bag…There’s a small portion of blood is being drawn into 3 tube in order to prepare it for test...After the almost 10 minutes or so…I dun remember how long it is…the 400ml bag is full of my blood…The nurse came and collected all the equipment together with my blood while asking me to press hard on the hole made by the tube in order to stop the blood flowing out…After 10 minutes, a plaster is being provided and I am free to go…And the other side, food and a cup of hot drinks is being provided and the medicine is given to me…the 2 bags of medicine include 6 dose of folic acid which is so small and 6 dose of ferrous fumarate and I am require to consume 1 tablet each day after meal…And so ended the whole process of the blood donating…

Although I felt quite weak after climbing 4 flights of stairs…I am quite glad about it as everything is done and a new experience is gain…I forgot to take the picture while I am in the participation of the campaign… But my housemate, SN managed to take some picture of her classmate during this campaign so I decide to put it here…
