CNY function

Konnichiwa everyone…How are you? I hope you are fine…This will be the 5^th articles I wrote on the very same day…I will be telling you about the CNY events this time…

Finally the day of CNY event had arrived…It is on 13^th Feb…Friday…It is suppose to be on 9^th Feb…Unfortunately the weekend before that is a very long weekend…Thus we had to postpone it so that more student will attend the event…Everyone had been doing last minute improvement and more decoration and some rehearsal on that very afternoon right after the class…Due to this reason, most of us have to rush to the DU which is the main hall to continue our job and had the last chance to improve more things and adding something to ensure that the event goes smoothly with little mistakes… The announcement of asking the vehicles’ owner to remove their cars from lecture hall 4 and DU had been made for so many times that we are quite bored with it…But we can’t do much about it since some car owners tends to park their car nearer to the place the study…

Since I am the decoration group member, I dun have to do much on the very day because we had been doing all those decoration for a few days till late at night so we get some rest at last before the big event comes but I had to go down for a while to decorate the chai shen or you called it the god of prosperity…

By 5.30 pm, most of the committee members that are in charged on this very event have to go down to prepare for the coming event and have our dinner before the other students… After the early dinner, the members that are in charge of registration have to start doing their job…I am included in one of them but not officially though…Hehe…We had to distribute the small booklet of the CNY event which contains the schedule and the history of certain traditional practice of Chinese and help the students to register besides asking the girls to write their name on the tangerine so that the guys get to have some small surprise after that…It is related to one of the game we had later…But unfortunately only most of the committee member get the surprise instead of the other students…

Did I tell you before this about the cheong sam? I think I did told you in the last article if I am not mistaken...Well…There’s so many of them wearing cheong sam on this very day with lots of different colour and pattern…Unfortunately I am not one of them and I am actually quite glad about it because my roommate faces some difficulties while wearing the cheong sam…She is forced to stand most of the time and walk more slowly and more carefully due to her attire… But I think all of them enjoy wearing the cheong sam since it is our Chinese tradition and I guess the boy are enjoying themselves while watching the ladies wearing those sexy and pretty cheong sam…I even heard a guy said that he is not hungry anymore after watching a pretty lady with cheong sam walked pass him…Haha…

The events suppose to start at 8pm but unfortunately the VIP are quite late so the event will have to postpone for some time…After the arrival of Datin…There’s a lion dance performance which the committee had tried very hard to invite… After the loud banging of the drums for the lion dance performance...There comes the speech by vice president of MPP and Datin…Then the calligraphy writing ceremony starts…Followed by the slide show made by the back stage team which contains the pictures of the hard work of the students in preparing for the night…Next come the lao sheng ceremony by Datin and the lecturers with higher post…

After all these meaningful event… The exciting event finally starts with the traditional dance, choir performance by Mara students entitled best friend which is a Japanese song, lucky draw (which is a session that I dun really like because I always lack of luck in these type of event…And I am quite right about it...My no is 33… yet the girl with no 32 get the prize… Haiz...) , live band by the musician of KTT with the additional of traditional instrument , pi pa , modern dance which is the mixture of samba and Spanish dance, solo performance, sketch by CNY committee and choir performance & solo by a level students… After all these interesting performance come the arrival of chai shen and another session of lucky draw before the departure of Datin…Finally the students get the chance to play some games design by the committee which is both funny and exciting before it ends with the open dance floor…The event ends at almost 12am and the work of cleaning had starts on the spot right after the event finish…As I told you before about the tangerine…The guys start to fight for certain tangerine with the name of the girl that admire…It is such a noisy event although the rest of us is busy cleaning the place…Haha..

Finally the event had ended and we are very glad of it… Although we are very tired when we reach the apartment at 12.30am… we are too excited to sleep so 3 of us had gather in the small living room in the apartment and started to reflect on everything that happen and the mistake we had made until 2.15am…Haha…Crazy…Right? But we really enjoy a great deal although not as great as we wish too…

It had been a really fun event..And that’s the best event I had ever had so far in ktt…
